Executive overview
Derivatives desks now have four broad choices: full front-to-back estates, specialist analytics platforms, buy-side operating systems and open-source builds. They solve different problems. The expensive mistake is buying more — or less — than the desk needs.
CRZ combines institutional cross-asset pricing and risk with a direct route to custom tooling. Its one-to-one GUI/API design allows work completed in the front end to be reproduced in Python or C# and extended into a monitor, comparison, alert, report or research application.

Open Source Risk Engine and QuantLib give quant teams transparent pricing and risk foundations. The firm owns the build: models, data, integration, validation, infrastructure and support.

The screen-to-code advantage
CRZ maps actions and properties in the application to methods and properties in its API. A trader or quant can establish the analysis in the front end, generate Python or C# and use the same calculation path as the foundation for a desk application.
That changes the development starting point. Instead of handing a specification to a central queue and rebuilding the analytics in a separate stack, the team begins with working trades, curves, prices and risk inside CRZ.

The economic case starts with working institutional analytics, then adds only the data connections, controls and desk tools the team needs.
CRZ avoids the cost and risk of rebuilding a cross-asset valuation stack. AI-assisted development shortens the work required to turn the API into a usable application, giving a small team more room to develop its own edge and a larger institution a faster route through the front-office backlog.

One market view. Three risk shapes.
The first worked demonstration starts with a familiar macro question: how should a desk express a front-end rates rally when outright duration, a curve trade and optionality carry different risks?
Using a historical GBP SONIA market close, CRZ constructs and reprices three synthetic structures:
- a standard 2-year receiver OIS;
- a parallel-DV01-neutral 2s10s curve trade; and
- a 3m × 2y receiver swaption.
The workflow puts all three structures on the same specified adverse-scenario loss budget, applies one rate-and-volatility scenario set and records the comparison and tests.

Compare total cost
Ask each provider to price the same five components:
- licences, modules, environments and users;
- market, reference and historical data;
- implementation, integration and migration;
- compute, storage, monitoring and support; and
- internal quant, developer and control ownership.
Use the same instruments, market state, service level and operating horizon across every proposal.
Buyer checklist
Coverage — confirm the instruments, conventions, models, lifecycle events and risk measures needed by the desk.
